It’s concerts like these that make me wish I spoke Spanish. Sharin Toribio performed on a beautiful hot day in July at the Prudential Courtyard Series.
The whole concert had energy and life. With her brother on cajon, a backup singer to add harmonious echoes to the mix and a great bassist and acoustic guitar player, Sharin was able to belt out her voice with ease. The video I took of one of her tunes is actually one of the two tunes that have been stuck in my head for the past two weeks. She was just happy to be on stage, it was very good to see. Take a listen to Sharin, she’ll be around for a while whether it be in Spain or State’s side.
