Busk: to play music in the street, usually for tips.
It’s spring break, and some students are taking the time to help others.
Joe Burke of the Office of Experiential Learning (and Berklee blogger), came across the Berklee Play + Pray project (read about it in Japanese) yesterday busking in Boston Common to raise money for Japan. Berklee’s student body is one-quarter international. If you can’t stop by the buskers’ patch of pavement, the college’s International Folk Festival will include a special remembrance for Japan March 24, and the Japan Society of Boston is holding a vigil March 21. All pics by Joe.
