For a good week and a half I find myself back in Boston, in the office, enjoying my catch up time before I am off to my next Berklee adventure. During this time at home sweet home, Berklee hosted an open house. Now, at what other place can you watch current students rock out and get a true sense of what it’s like to be in a Neo-Soul Ensemble? Not many, but Berklee is definitely one of them!
Saturday, October 10th was a Berklee Open House open to host prospective students and parents to get a taste of Berklee. The admissions office hosts Open Houses in the fall and again in the spring so students interested can come visit campus for a day including, tours, informationals from various departments on campus and of course MUSIC! We had students visiting from all over the country including, Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois and California to name a few. Going to an open house is a great way to do some research about the place you may end up at in the end. But remember, a lot of places are used to working on a smaller scale, so sometimes it can be a bit more hectic than what everyday life is really like. If you can’t make it to an open house, I definitely suggest coming to visit campus for a tour and/or information session. It’s good to be on campus and get the feel of what it’s really like when students are in full swing. Just like each of us, college’s have personalities too. It’s all about finding the right fit…kind of like finding the right girlfriend of boyfriend, which you may find in college as well haha!
