Tommy and Mane were among the media magnets at the Berklee Canta en Español pre-concert press conference at the Hotel W in Mexico City. Javier Samayoa, Berklee Canta en Español’s executive producer; Luis Eduardo Ros, general director of Institute of Tourism Promotion; Ann Kreis, a Berklee trustee and chair of the Berklee Valencia Advisory Board; and Jose Enrique Fernandez, SGAE regional director, also made presentations (though there were far fewer cameras flashing during their remarks).

The media also got to meet the Berklee Canta contest finalists for the first time. The songwriters didn’t get to make any of their own presentations, but they did pose together with their opponents, the pop stars, and the judges. The next time this group would be together was five hours later at the Lunario for the TV taping and the songwriter showdown.
