The Greg Osby Sextet, a combination of Berklee’s top student instrumentalists and composers as well as Berklee Professor Greg Osby himself, played the Jazz Standard in New York City.
A world class Teacher on stage with world class students. The show went off without a hitch, with two mind blowing hour long sets. Each of the students performing was hand picked by Osby to perform that evening, mixing students from many different backgrounds, but all with amazing talent. For more about the individual players go HERE. During their trip, the band also visited WBGO 88.3 FM where they performed a live broadcast in the studio before the show. What a great experience it must have been for the students involved. I hope they enjoyed their time in New York as much as everyone enjoyed the show.
