Berklee World Jazz Nonet Prepares for 4 Days of Performances at the DC Jazz Festival

Marketing Manager Billy Herron writes from the final rehearsal of the Berklee World Jazz Nonet before their performance at the DC Jazz Festival this week. Read the official press release on berklee.edu.

The Berklee World Jazz Nonet is in front of me preparing to perform for audiences from all over the world at the DC Jazz Festival. As you probably know, for diplomatic and/or business reasons, people of many nationalities live in the Washington, DC area; which is the U.S. capitial, and home to many international embassies and diplomats. The setting is perfect for this incredibly culturally and musically diverse group of Berklee’s top students, performing much needed peace and harmony.

The musicians come from Canada, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Palestine, Puerto Rico and the USA. Keep your eyes and ears open over the next couple of days as Marina (voice), Diego (drums), and Joe (guitar) share their DC Jazz Festival experiences on Berklee Blogs.
