지난달 한국 오디션과 한인동창회를 위해 버클리 어드미션 팀과 스탭분들이 한국을 방문하셨습니다.
10월 23일 부터 26일까지는 서울재즈아카데미에서 워크샵이 진행되었고, 27일부터 29일까지는 오디션과 인터뷰가 진행되었습니다.
워크샵으로는, 버클리 교수님들이 직접 진행하신 송라이팅 수업, 오디션과 인터뷰 준비하는 방법 등 여러가지 클리닉이 진행되었고,
새로 생긴 Berklee in Valencia에 대한 설명과 교수님들과의 잼세션도 있었습니다.

No meu primeiro post eu falei um pouco sobre a minha história. Contei como surgiu a ideia de vir fazer música em Boston e como ela desenvolveu ao longo dos anos. Falei um pouco sobre o processo da inscrição e prometi escrever sobre minha audição.

We’ve had a full week in São Paulo in conjunction with our partner school Souza Lima. The agenda included clinics from our extraordinary faculty team (Jim Odgren, Bruno Raberg and Matt Glaser), auditions and interviews for admission applicants, visits to local schools and government organizations, interviews for radio and television and a lot of opportunity for all of us to learn more about Brazil and its music.
As I reflect on the week, the word that continuously comes to mind is joy. Every experience, from our interactions with students, teachers, local musicians, and the Brazilian people themselves, is engulfed by a kind of joyous exuberance for life, and especially for music.
The warmth and friendliness of the Brazilian people surrounds us as we visit our partner school in São Paulo (Souza Lima College of Music) and conduct auditions and interviews for admission. While the occasional nuance may be lost in translation (our collective Portuguese ability approximates zero!) we are welcomed with open arms and a shared respect and love for music and education.

Hoje irei discutir algo que me perguntam constantemente,o processo de inscrição para a Berklee College of Music. Eu sei quão confusas as coisas podem ficar quando lidamos com um website escrito todo em inglês. No meu caso tive que esperar 2 anos inteiros desde o momento que decidi vir pra Berklee até finalmente botar meus pés em Boston. Espero que este blog consiga deixar o processo mais claro caso você queira se juntar a nós aqui em Boston!
