At the Freiburg farmers market. Fffresh!
Cleaning my metaphorical desk (meaning: cell phone camera) after the holiday break, I came across these Freiburg photos. More angles and corners on the Berklee study-abroad experience, at the Jazz & Rock Schulen and around the city.

The Jazz & Rock Schulen auditorium. The mural celebrates the recently completed Europop project, which promoted musical connections between France, Germany, and Switzerland.

Class size = 1. JRS artistic director Bernhard Hofmann and student Mike Lostica puzzle out a tonal harmony arrangement.

Flyers at the Jazz & Rock Schulen. Looks kinda familiar. . . .
Black-and-white cookies in Freiburg? Bit of a surprise for NYC deli fans to see this classic at the bakery closest to the Jazz & Rock Schulen, popular for evening ensemble-break snacks (if you can figure out when it's open). One of the rare establishments that offers coffee to go—maybe not a coincidence.

The city's so bike-crazy, even the postal service gets into the act. Check out the special kickstand on the front wheel.

Great photos and post, Danielle. One other big piece of Freiburg-related news. Berklee alumnus pianist and Freiburg resident Kirill Gerstein just won the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award, which nets him a cool 300 grand. Don’t know if he’s involved at all with the school or not, but it seemed worth mentioning.
