I’m just finishing my first day back at work. I still haven’t really processed that I am back in Boston. While it’s nice to be back with my family, I already miss New Orleans, and the work we were doing.

I think the biggest thing that struck me since being back is that I have a new set of priorities. The little things that used to bother me seem much less important now. It seems a little silly to complain about the weeds in my lawn when so much of the city of New Orleans is still completely destroyed.

My advice to anyone reading this is to book a trip to the city. Go there just to relax, or even better go there to contribute to the cause. Either way you will be experiencing on of the most unique places in America. The Big Easy definitely has it’s flaw’s and short comings, but the charm New Orleans makes them easy to overlook.
